AMC is continuing to build out the Anne Rice Immortal Universe. In addition to second seasons of Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches heading our way, the network is also actively developing a third series based on the secret society Rice created in her books, the Talamasca.

During AMC’s panel at the Television Critics Association winter tour, Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios, confirmed the Talamasca series news, including that John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side) is still on board to write and executive produce.

AMC also shared that the eight-episode season two of Interview with the Vampire, which wrapped filming in Prague last year, will debut on May 12, 2024 on AMC and AMC+. The second season will also see David Costabile (Suits, Breaking Bad) joining as a guest star named Leonard, who is described as a “seasoned TV personality” who has a run-in with the interviewer, Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). Other guest star roles in the upcoming eight episodes include Roxane Duran (The White Ribbon, Riviera) as Madeleine, and Bally Gill (Sherwood, Slow Horses) as Real Rashid. For those who need a refresher, the upcoming Interview episodes will see Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Claudia (played this season by Delainey Hayles) heading to France, where a certain courtship plays out (if you’ve seen the season one finale, you know what I’m talking about).

But that’s not all the Anne Rice news! AMC also shared that the second season of Mayfair Witches has begun production in New Orleans and is set to premiere sometime later this year. That series will also see some new stars in key roles, including Alyssa Jirrels, Ted Levine, and Thora Birch. Jirrels will be playing Moira Mayfair, a mind reader who blames the family and Lasher for the death of her sister, while Levine plays Julien Mayfair, Cortland’s father, and Birch is Gifford Mayfair, who is described as “a self-deprecating tarot card reader and wannabe-bohemian.”

While we still have a few months for the second seasons of Interview and Mayfair, the first seasons are now streaming on AMC+ for your immortal viewing pleasure. icon-paragraph-end
